ONE Gas had obtained the web address BeaDigHero.com several years ago, but had never really utilized the concept. I developed 5 “Dig Hero” designs as a way market “Safe Digging Month” each April. In April, ONE Gas customers (and the general public) are reminded to dial 811 before digging to have their underground service lines marked. This is a program run by the ONE Gas Safety and Public Awareness departments.

Each hero was modeled on a typical customer who might need to call the hotline: The Gardner, The Contractor, The Excavator and The Homeowners. Plus, Digger the dog! Anyone can become a Dig Hero simply by calling 811 before you dig.
